Did you know that most homeowners funded their home improvement projects with savings? Now this can be an eye-opening trend in many ways. With due Infographic source credit to the builders west London team of Newline Construction, it is now known that people who funded these projects with savings were more in budget, as compared to those who relied on loans. What’s even interesting is the fact that homeowners are concerned about home improvement, which propelled most projects. In fact, only 42% of all people who participated in the survey were interested in repairs and maintenance in general.
The demand for contractors in the industry also continues to rise. Around 41% homeowners preferred to hire improvement contractor for their projects, while around 25% took up some form of DIY work, besides taking professional service. It is also a good trend that 85% homeowners invested in improvements with the purpose of selling it. Refurbished and well-maintained homes are going to attract buyers, and owners seemed to have recognized this aspect. Also, a good 46% of the projects were on budget, which indicates that owners are trying hard to cut costs and unnecessary spending that has contributed to better project management.
